Monday afternoon Alessandro Michele once again stunned as he donned his signature style upon the Gucci Men’s runway. Michele's mainstays including novel embroideries, pastels and silk bombers were reworked and sent down the runway in chinoiserie prints with bleach splattered trousers and Donald Duck accents. Loungewear was abundant in an array of cropped trousers and beaded kimonos. Silk floral pajama suiting was shown in a multitude of prints with embroidered toggles and a chinois kimono tuxedo that’ll slay at any garden party.
Michele reworked the Men’s Princetown slipper in a variety of silks and velvets with serpentine embroideries. What stood out the most were the mens mary-janes with the Dionysus buckle accent. This shoe is definitely one every fashionisto will be coveting come Summer ‘17 along with the studded jelly closed toe sandals that I am already saving up for! Michele embraced the knock-off, flea market Gucci tees we’ve all seen and placed them under hand painted leather motorcycle jackets. All in all another stellar show from Michele that continues to leave us wanting more of his whimsical style.
