Haider Ackermann presented his dazzling S/S 17 collection in Paris last week. The collection was one of the most vibrant and wearable of the men’s shows. Where most collections this season have been heavy in outwear and urban sportswear, Ackermann’s collection was tailored for the millennial party boy. The collection was a perfect blend of practicality, up-all-night angst and old school rock ‘n’ roll. A combination different from the days of blatant hedonistic revelry, this was a statement in functional glamour. The kind of glamour that has sprouted from heavy exposure to green juice and Instagram. The pleated trousers with athletic accents are a surefire win for the city boys running from scene to scene and the striped robe will keep you warm on the morning walk home. Ackermann's collection was a breath of fresh air from the heavy utility of most collections this season, bringing glam back to men's fashion.
