Robert Geller is an immigrant and wants everyone to know. The designer proudly wore one of his limited edition IMMIGRANT tees, which benefit the ACLU, to his Fall/Winter runway presentation. During a political climate when the current administration has thought it necessary to red flag individuals forbidding them from entering the country, Geller wants to remind you of two things: the impact of hate fueled legislation and the diversity that's woven together to create the fabric of this country. A poignant message of hope and honesty to make on this, Geller's 10th anniversary show while J Balvin, Young Paris and musician BORNS watched from front row.
Many military references were made for the Fall/Winter collection as a sort of designer call to attention. Camouflage prints opened the show in muted hues of fuschia and grey. Sweat pants and hoodies reading LOVE and WAR, also the title of the collection, were frequent throughout the collection just as models donning trapper style hats, face masks and should guards. Geller's signature silk trousers added a soft contrast to the dark and heavy looks and a camouflage bouclé sweatsuit added an element of comfort and ease to the collection. It's clear where Robert Geller stands during these trying times and we proudly stand with him.
